Josephine Bryce Leister passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth, strength, and quiet grace touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Lavell and Carrie Pinkston; all 12 of her siblings; her first husband, Dorice Bryce; her second husband, Bill Leister; her son, Dennis Bryce; sons-in-law, Don Sumpter and Ken Westervelt; and grandsons, Chanc Sumpter and Mitchell Westervelt.
She is survived by her loving children: son, Allen Bryce and his wife Nancy; daughter, Karen Westervelt; daughter, Regina Hacker; and son, Brian Bryce and his wife Janet. Josephine also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Her legacy is one of unwavering love for family, enduring faith, and a life well-lived in service to others. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Service details will be announced by the family. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength.
