Everett Eugene Leierer, 94, of Dover, Pa., died April 28, 2015. Born June 29, 1920, in Hunter, Okla., he was a son of the late Dewey and Cora Sunderland Leierer of Enid, Okla.
He attended Enid High School and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management.
Mr. Leierer served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II as a first lieutenant in the 11th Motor Transport Battalion in Guam, Okinawa and China.
He also served in the Marine Corps Reserve until 1957.
In his lifetime, he was an active member in his community and served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church of York and president of Dover Area Tax Payer�s Association.
He also was involved with Society of Manufacturing Engineers, National Management Association and Boy Scouts of America.
Everett was employed by AMF Inc. in Richmond, Va., and Harley Davidson Motor Co., York, Pa., as a manufacturing engineer. He retired in June 1984.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Blackman Leierer; son, Kim; brother, Melvin of Conrow, Texas; and sister, Helen Kelly of Enid, Okla.
Surviving are sons, Bruce of Bel Air, Md., and Don of Dover; brothers, James of Langley, Wash., and Ernest of Enid, Okla.; sisters, Dorene Kesner and Betty Dimelas of Enid, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church of York, 225 E. Market St., York, PA 17403. Interment will be at Memorial Garden.
