Wilson "Bob" Felix Layton, a long-time Coalgate resident, was born on September 6, 1934, to Henry Milton and Eleanor (Felix) Layton, at Leavenworth, Kansas. He passed away at his home in Coalgate on January 2, 2024, at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 27 days. Bob drove a cement truck for Roy Massey then Dolese. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Bob married Mary “Pinky” Elizabeth McAusland on May 27, 1978, at Coalgate, OK. They were blessed with 45 years together. He was baptized at the Harmony Baptist Church and was a member of the Coalgate VFW. Bob enjoyed tinkering with things, working on cars and anything with motors. He loved his grandchildren and all his family and friends.
