Jerry Ann (Heape) Lay

June 23, 1951 ~ August 16, 2025

Jerry Ann Lay, 74, of Bartlesville, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025.

She was born in Caney, Kansas, to Ernie and Ruby Heape. Jerry Ann married the love of her life, Lloyd Lay, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years.

Jerry Ann earned her bachelor’s degree in education, and throughout her life she carried a love of learning, creativity, and family. She had a passion for classic cars and spent many joyful hours alongside Lloyd building cars and attending car shows together. She also had a special love for cats and enjoyed caring for them. In addition, she proudly helped operate the family business, where her hard work and dedication left a lasting impact.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ray Heape; and her nephew, Bo Sellers.

Jerry Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Lloyd Lay; her sister, Sharron Sellers; her stepsons, Doug Lay and Scotty Lay; grandsons, Tyler Lay, Payton Lay, and Jason Lay; five great-grandchildren with one more soon to arrive; as well as many dear friends who will deeply miss her.

Jerry Ann will be remembered for her loving spirit, her strength, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
