Noel Lawson a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma and beloved family member left this life at his home on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at the age of 73 years 6 months and 1 day. He was born on November 16, 1943 in Sun Kist, Oklahoma to William Jackson and Josephine (Heridon) Lawson. Noel married his sweetheart Lena Davis on May 13, 1965 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Noel was a monument worker, stone cutter and polished by trade. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Konawa, Oklahoma. Noel liked to fish, hunting, spending time in the deer woods, and looking for treasures, or "Junking".
Mr. Lawson is survived by his wife, Lena Lawson of the home; daughters, Robbie Busler and husband Michael of Wanette, Oklahoma, Teresa Spencer of Konawa, Oklahoma and Tiffany Goodrich and husband DJ of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; son, Leon Edward Lawson of Yates City, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Lawson and wife Linda of Albany, Oklahoma and Fred Lawson and wife Ellis of Milburn, Oklahoma; sisters, Laura Adkisson and husband Buzzy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ida Mae Pickett and husband Don of Albany, Oklahoma, Dorothy Ann Greenhaw and husband Thomas of Utica, Oklahoma and Ruby Stoneking and husband Richard of Albany, Oklahoma; and sister-in-law, Beverly Lawson of Albany, Oklahoma.
Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine Lawson; brothers, Albert, Floyd, Henry, Calvin, Ronnie, Donnie, and Randy Lawson; and sisters, Nelta Jo Lawson, and Lucille Greenhaw.
A family hour will be from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Saturday May 20th at Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma. The chapel service will begin at 2:00 PM.
