Larry Joe Lawson, 69, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Norman, OK. He was born in Gracemont, OK to the late William E. and Lula Mae Lawson on February 16, 1948.
He was a graduate of Sterling High School in Sterling, OK. Larry was a proud, patriotic veteran. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Larry's extremely strong work ethic served him well during his working years. He was a true "jack of all trades". Larry was a selfless man and his family was his greatest accomplishment.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Marla Kay Lawson of Guthrie; brother, Roger Dale Lawson and wife Vickey of Guthrie; sister, Lois Jay of Guthrie; daughter, Vonda Kay McKee and fiance, John Orr of Midwest City, OK; son, Michael Lewis Lawson and wife Amanda of Edmond; grandchildren, Tyler Martin McCaslin of Moore; Tristen Wayne Martin McKee of Midwest City; Jackson Paul Lawson and great-grandson, Wyatt Wayne McCaslin.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Logan County Area on Aging or to Alzheimer's Research.
