Benjamin Mark Lawrenson passed into the arms of His Heavenly Father on January 1, 2018 as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor cycle accident in Yucca Valley, California.
He was born May 14, 1996 in Cleveland, Ohio and died at the young age of 21. He served as a U.S. Marine and had been stationed at the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, in Twentynine Palms, California. Ben graduated from Ft. Townson High School in 2015. He was an avid outdoors man and loved to go hunting, fishing, golfing and riding his motorcycle. Ben was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Durant.
Ben is survived by his father, Mark Lawrenson and wife, Ladonna of Durant; mother, Debra Greenwood Clark of Durant; his brother, Luke and wife Darianne of Oahu, Hawaii, his sister, Naomi Lawrenson of Kitty Hawk, NC; paternal grandparents, Rick and Dale Lawrenson of Durant; maternal grandparents Gale Greenwood and wife, Charlene of Albuquerque, NM; step maternal grandfather, Don Dickerson of Albuquerque, NM; He is also survived by his girlfriend, Erika Fernandez of Twentynine Palms, CA and several, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rene’ Dickerson of Albuquerque, NM.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant.
Family hour will be Friday, January 12, 2018 from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Bro. Darel Bunch officiating. Military rights will be conducted by the Unites States Marine Corp.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Falls Creek Cabin Fund.
