Ross Virgal Lawrence, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, and member of the Choctaw Nation, passed away on Thursday August 3, 2017, at the age of 82 years 10 months and 25 days. He was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Rev. Lewis and Ella (Belvin) Lawrence on September 9, 1934.
Ross was a farmer, and mechanic by trade. He had a huge heart, he loved to sing gospel, play his guitar, and fish. His musical voice was by God's amazing grace, and he shared that talent with others. Ross loved greasy food, and he loved his dogs. He was loved by SO MANY! The moral of his story was, love one another.
