Joel Christopher Law age 47, of Newcastle, Oklahoma passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home in Newcastle. He was born August 23, 1969 in Borger, Texas to parents, Billy Ray Law and Sheryn Adele (Rogers).
Joel grew up and attended school in Borger. During his summer months he enjoyed spending time in Purcell, OK. Joel graduated from Borger High School with the class of 1987. After high school he attended and later graduated from West Texas A & M University in Canyon, Texas with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology. Joel married Kim Wade in 1992 and together they raised two wonderful sons, Christopher and Matthew. Joel and his family first lived in Canyon, Texas where he began working for the Texas Department of Transportation. In 2005 he moved to Newcastle, Oklahoma and went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He was currently working as the Transportation Specialist. Joel loved his sons and always supported them in their school activities. In his spare time he enjoyed doing woodworking and tinkering on his old Chev. Blazer that he was fixing up for his son, Matthew. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, E. C. and Rosa Lee Rogers, Grandfather, Leroy Law; Step-father, Gary Turner;
He is survived by: Two sons, Christopher and Matthew Law, Mother, Sheryn Turner of Amarillo, TX. Father and step-mother, Bill and Karen Law of Purcell, Two brothers, Jon Law of Galva, KS, James Turner of Dallas, Texas, Sister, Brianna Blackwell and husband shad of Owasso, OK, Grandmother, Anna Lee Law of Purcell, Aunt and Uncle, Teresa Griffin and husband Willie of Borger, TX Three nephews, Derrick and Dakota Law and Jysen Blackwell, One niece, Jayden Blackwell, And many other loving relatives, friends and co-workers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, OK.
