Longtime Anadarko resident, Anna Law, age 96 of Purcell, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the Sunset Estates Nursing Center in Purcell.
Anna Lee Shipman was born December 10, 1921 in Binger, Oklahoma, a twin and 1 of 5 children born to Knox D. and Della F. (Dieball) Shipman. She spent her early childhood in Binger where she started school, and later moved to Anadarko where she graduated.
Anna married the love of her life, Leroy Raymond Law, on December 7, 1940, in Anadarko. Together they raised 3 children, Bill, Ronnie and Kaye. Anna was a hard worker and instilled this same work ethic in each of her children. She worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company and as a clerk for local banks. She then worked for the Caddo County Courthouse in both the Accessors Office and the Treasurer's Office, eventually retiring as Manager of the Anadarko Housing Authority. Anna was a strong and fiercely independent women; a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be remembered most for her baking and cooking, and especially her homemade candy at Christmas. She will be dearly missed!

Twin, Ruby L. Mingus of Tulsa,
Imogene Headley of Tulsa and
Pauline Kubala of Oolagah;
Daughter-in-law, Mary Law of Anadarko,
Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren; Jon, Brianna, Lisa, Tresa, Berry,
Monica, Robin, Rusty and Randy.
