Perry Anthony Latta, age 73, was born on May 29, 1946 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Dallas and Thelma (Cain) Edwards and adopted by Fate and Phyllis Latta. He passed away on November 13, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
He was married to Shirley June (Harris) Latta on October 27, 1965 in Bunch, Oklahoma.
Mr. Latta worked as a mechanic for most of his adult life and was owner/operator of Latta’s Auto Repair. He drove a school bus for Cave Springs School and an egg truck for Tyson.
He loved working with wood, making bowls and vases. Perry was loved and considered a good friend to everyone he knew. He was easy to get to know and loved to be around people. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world and he loved them dearly.
Suvivors are his wife, Shirley of the home, two daughters and sons in law: Marlena Gail and Cory John Babin of St. Amant, La. and Tammy Louise and Bryan Keith Wilson of Stilwell. A son and daughter-in-law: Tony Bryan and Belinda Ann Latta of Bunch, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law that he considered family and and several other relatives and friends including Don Edwards and Carl Bean, who he considered his brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Phyllis Latta and Dallas and Thelma Edwards, a sister, Norma Smith and brother, Marion Edwards.
