Jacob Edward ""Jake"" Lanphear, 21, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016. Jake was born on May 6, 1995 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Vincent and Dana Lanphear of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Jake resided in Barnsdall with his parents.
Jake loved playing sports throughout his school years. He was very competitive in football, baseball and wrestling but he was a team player. He loved going trout fishing and hunting with his dad. He also was a true Sooner fan. Jake graduated from High School in May 2013. Since then, he went to NEO for one semester. Jake was a very outgoing young man with love towards all his friends and family. Also, Jake had an amazing love for God.
Jake is Survived by his parents, Vincent and Dana (Gilliland) Lanphear, one sister, Heather Lanphear; maternal grandmother, Deryl Gilliland of Copan, OK, paternal grandparents, Jim and Judy Lanphear, paternal great-grandmother, Helen Smith; paternal aunts and uncles, Derek and Marcia Lanphear and Micah and Kim Lanphear all of Barnsdall, OK; Worm and Kelly Shipley of Copan, OK; many cousins and great aunts and uncles from Barnsdall, Copan and Dewey, OK.
Jake was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Billy Gilliland, paternal great grandfather, Stanley Smith, paternal great grandparents, Leroy and Lola Lanphear, maternal great grandparents Frank and Maxine Gilliland, and Wylie and Edith Crook, paternal great aunt, Phyllis Keefover and maternal aunt Billie Jo Owens.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Barnsdall, OK on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:00 am.
Cremation Services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
