Ora Lee (Price) Langston

Ora Lee (Price) Langston
May 2, 1929 ~ May 31, 2023

Memorial service for Ora Lee Langston, 94, of Thackerville, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta, OK with Robby Peyrot officiating and Johnny Reed assisting.

Lee was born May 2, 1929, in LeFlore County, OK to Ode Lee and Stella (Linn) Price. On May 31, 2023, the angels escorted her to heaven after a short illness.

Lee spent most of her life in Thackerville. She married Luke Langston on October 26, 1946, in Gainesville, TX. They celebrated 51 wonderful years together before his passing on March 31, 1998. In 1948, Luke and Lee purchased the local grocery store in Thackerville. Tragedy struck in 1954 when a fire destroyed the store. They both stepped up and rebuilt the building and business from the ground up. In 1974, they sold the store and acquired an Exxon Service Station where she continued to work side by side with Luke. Lee also worked at various dress shops and Newland Furniture in Gainesville. Her desire to help others led her to a position at WinStar. She was one of the first to be hired. Lee’s position at WinStar provided her with another opportunity to establish additional friendships. She genuinely cared about everyone. Lee loved to garage sale and would be ready every Saturday morning before sunrise. She always said, “You got to get there early to get the good stuff.” Lee enjoyed cooking you a good meal and loved gathering around her table to visit. You always left her house with a full stomach and warm heart.

Lee was preceded in death by her husband and parents; daughter, Sylvia Kaler; two sons-in-law, Bill Kaler and Byron Reed; a brother, Jack Price; five sisters, Lois Daniels, Kathleen Price, Lila Ward, Nell Peden, and Margaret Sprouse.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lana Reed and Charles Langston and wife Lynn; seven grandchildren, Bobby Randolph and wife Connie, W.T. Kaler, Lindsay Langston, Allyson Langston, Johnny Reed and wife Tina, GiGi Puana, and Sam Puana; six great-grandchildren, Dalton Randolph, Luke Kaler, Gracie Kaler, Robert Kaler, Nikki Reed, and Taylor Reed; one great-great-grandchild, Jagger Reed; sister, Betty Price; and many nieces and nephews who all loved her very much.

A keepsake video is available through the funeral home.
