Sylvia Jean Langston-Kaler, 72, of Gainesville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Medical City Plano, Plano, Texas. She was born March 19, 1948 in Gainesville to Luther Martin and Ora Lee Price Langston.
Sylvia grew up in Thackerville and lived most of her adult life in Gainesville. She was a pioneer of hairdressing in Gainesville spending the last 50 years as a hairdresser. Some of her interests included traveling or going on vacations all over the country, taking trips to the casino, listening to music, and cooking for family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith. Sylvia was a very caring and generous lady who loved spending time with her grandkids.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kaler; father, Luther Langston; and brother-in-law, Byron Reed.
Survivors include her mother, Ora Lee Langston; sons, Bobby Randolph and wife Connie of Valley View, Texas and W.T. Kaler, III of Gainesville; brother, Charlie Langston of Burns City, Texas; sister, Lana Reed of Thackerville; and five grandchildren, Dalton Randolph, Luke Kaler, Robert Kaler, Gracilinn Kaler, and Peyton Cartwright.
The family suggest memorial contributions to Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 333, Thackerville, OK 73459.
