Memorial services for Patricia Lang, 65, of Callisburg, Texas were held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 at the Callisburg Church of Christ with Ben Willingham officiating.
Born November 8, 1952 at Whitesboro, Texas, the daughter of Mack J. “Bill” and Rena Mae Phillips Hough, she died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Callisburg.
Mrs. Lang was raised and graduated high school in Callisburg. She studied nursing at Grayson County College, earning a degree in nursing. She spent 39 years as an R.N., caring for others at various schools, hospitals, and nursing homes in the area. On July 13, 1973, she married Michael Lang at the Callisburg Church of Christ in the new facility’s first wedding ceremony. Mrs. Lang was a lifelong member of the church and was involved in numerous activities, including the Women’s Devotional. She raised her children well and cared deeply for her grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Lang enjoyed traveling, often visiting Branson, Missouri, Florida, and Colorado. She was also skilled in sewing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Michael W. Lang Sr. of Callisburg; son, Michael Lang Jr. and wife Michelle of Callisburg; daughter, Tonja Gortmaker and husband Rustin of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren, Cody and Casey Lang and Kyla and Karis Gortmaker; brother, Craig Hough and wife Dianne of Callisburg; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County or the Callisburg Church of Christ.
