George Landin Jr.
January 11, 1939 ~ November 23, 2018

The memorial service for George Landin Jr., 79 year-old Enid resident, will be Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Vernon, Texas next to his wife Jean.

George was born January 11, 1939, in Robstown, Texas, to George and Hortensia (Garza) Landin and died suddenly at his home in Enid. He graduated from Navasota High School with the class of 1939 in Navasota, Texas.

After moving to Enid he sold shoes first at Mayers on the square before working with Marty Shupac at Lamberts for over forty years. He was managing a shoe store in Oklahoma City at the time of his death.

On May 26, 1967, he married the love of his life , Jean.

He was an avid golfer and loved to tend his flowers.

He is survived by his son Mark Landin and wife Elizabeth of Houston; his daughter, Lisa Halili and husband Johnny; two step-children, Sharon Foster and Donna Oliver; three grandchildren, Leah and Shannon Landin and Raz Halili; one sister Wanda Sheridan and husband Bill; and 6 great-grand-children.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean, daughter Kimberly Dawn Landin, sister Mattie, and grandson Monty Halili.
