James Marion Lambert son of James Otto and Alice (Rachel) Holland was born November 24, 1929 in Seminole, OK and departed this life on August 13, 2008 in Grove, OK at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 19 days.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. James served 2 terms as a Tribal Council member for the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister; Jean Lemon.
James is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Nancy Lambert of the home in Jay, OK, 3 children; James L. Lambert and wife Sandra of Okemah, OK, Dana N. Parks and husband Kenneth of Chandler, TX, and Jan Lambert and companion, Christie of Miami, OK. Grandchildren; James V. Lambert, Kristie N. Cherry, Isaac Grayson, Isaiah Francis, Madison Francis, Loren Parks, Geri Cox, Joey Lambert, Shawn Foght, great grandchildren; Jayda Faith Cherry, Lexi Lambert, Marli Cox, Caleb Cox, Zane Cox, Jaden Foght, and 1 sister; Peggy Jim Hayes of Oklahoma City, OK also survive him.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Immanuel Baptist Church in Jay, OK.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
