Memorial services for Dru Lambert, 45, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 30 in the All Faith Christian Church, Marietta with Rev. Jerry Turner officiating, assisted by Dewayne Self.
Born August 6, 1968 in Ardmore, the daughter of Frank and Connie Jo. Blagg Hendon, she died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Ardmore.
A resident of Love County most of her life, she attended school in Greenville, Marietta and Thackerville. Dru worked as a house sitter with the elderly. Her hobbies included cooking, fishing, hunting and camping. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her paternal and maternal grandparents; her father; an infant brother and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her mother, Connie Jo Hendon of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Tanisha Ballard and Ethan and Jessica Ballard, all of Marietta; a stepson, Ricky Self of Marietta; a brother, John H. Hendon, also of Marietta; and six grandchildren, Eli, Adam, Aiden, Clayton, Dakota and Alyda.
Honorary bearers were Glenda Goldenstein, Frank Goldenstein, Brandy Blackwood, Dajena Yarbro, Donna Vickers, Lorane Hayes, Ashley Nicole Williams, John Williams, Donny Hume and Dianna Hume.
