Diane Elaine Shoemake-LaJoie, age 46 of Bartlesville, went to be with our Lord on Saturday February 4, 2017. She was born to the late Terry Shoemake and surviving mother Linda Terrell on July 31, 1970.
Diane was born in Oklahoma City and attended Piedmont Grammar School and High School, before moving to Tulsa in 1988. In the winter of 2006 she made her permanent residence in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she met and married her husband. They wed in the fall of 2009. She was an active member in the community by serving with the Bartlesville Emergency Management staff and served with the Girl and Boy Scouts. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church.
Family and friends were Diane's passion and delight. She enjoyed spending summers and vacations with her family traveling abroad and close to home. She loved crafting, baking, decorating and helping those in need. For those lives she�s touched over the years, she made the ultimate sacrifice by becoming an organ donor. She was a creative soul with the gift of laughter which was contagious to many that crossed her path. She was an avid reader, loving mother and entertain during family reunions held in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Diane is survived by her husband John LaJoie, Daughters Melissa Ann and son Elyjah James, Meredith Grace, Miranda Leigh and son Chance Taylor, sister Suzie and mother Linda. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Diane requested a celebration honoring her life to be held at St. James Catholic Church on Saturday February 11, 2017 at 1pm.
The family wishes to thank all of those who have helped them out during this transition. Donations and Flowers may be sent to the LaJoie home.
