Verna Christina Lahm, 93, of Bartlesville, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. She was born to parents John Green and Christina Kolb Green on October 29, 1926 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Verna had been a resident of the Bartlesville area for the past eight years.
She married Ed Yakel on April 30, 1949 and later Dean I. Lahm on August 19, 1966. She loved to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Verna is preceded in death by her mother and father, Christina Green and John Green, her husband Ed Yakel, her husband Dean Lahm, brothers Edward Green and Richard Green, and sister Delores Cogbill.
She is survived by her children, son Steve Yakel, daughters Deborah L. Miller, Chris A. Kirby, and Sandra S. Martin, brother Ralph Green, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, in Lincoln Nebraska at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
Memorial donations in Verna’s honor can be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1001 SE Adams Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003.
