James Stephen LaCour, 41, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away the morning of December 18, 2011 in his home where he was surrounded by the love of his family. He was born February 24, 1970, in Dallas, Texas, the son of James and Sylvia LaCour.
On December 15, 1998, he married the love of his life, Benabeth LaCour.
Upon graduation from high school in 1988, he entered into uniform service by joining The United States Navy. He served as an Electronic Warfare Technician on various naval vessels such as the USS Curtis (FFG-38) and USS Howard (DDG-83) before cross rating to Master At Arms and retiring from STRATCOMWING ONE, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in July of 2010.
Once retired he went through a life changing transformation in which he focused his love and life solely on his family.
James is a graduate of Rose State College where he prestigiously earned a degree in liberal arts.
He is survived by his father, James Sidney LaCour, mother, Sylvia Mae LaCour, wife, Benabeth CorderoLaCour, sons, Stephen Tyler LaCour and Gaje Parker LaCour, daughter, Allena Rayne Martin, brother and sisters, Bobbie LaCour, Patt LaCour, Brenda Cupples, Glenda LaCour, Jamie Newell, Stephanie Hickman, Christina Andrews and Daylon Beebe
