David Carl Labutis, a beloved resident of Copan, OK, passed away on May 16, 2025. Born on July 19, 1959, in Sewickley, PA, to the late Carl William and Shelby Palmer Labutis, David's journey was one filled with love, family, and passion.
After graduating, David embarked on a fulfilling career in mechanics, starting in Florida. It was there that he met the love of his life, Tracy, whom he married in 1983. Together, they built a beautiful family and raised three wonderful children. In 1994, they made Oklahoma their home, where David's dedication to his family and his love for NASCAR and drag racing shone brightly.
David's joy in life came from spending time with his family and tending to his garden, creating lasting memories and nurturing his passions. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Labutis; his mother, Shelby Labutis; his children, Kenneth Labutis (Katherine), Raymond Labutis Sr., and Jessica Goforth (Daniel); his cherished grandchildren, Austin, Kami, Kendal, Lexi, Raymond Jr., Kaylin, Corbin, and Wayde; his siblings, Laura Burges (Chip) and Carl William Labutis; and his father-in-law, Kenneth Eves.
In honoring David's memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever be remembered
