Shirley J. Kyser, age 74 of Lexington, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Oklahoma City.
Shirley Janice Howell was born January 24, 1940 in Reydon, OK to Bill Howell and Rosa Mae (King) Howell. She grew up in Roger Mills County and began school there, graduating from Sweetwater in 1958.
She married Edward “Eddie” Kyser on April 30, 1970 in Mobette, TX, and together they raised a son, Edward William Kyser. Shirley worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. She was a gifted musician and loved to play the piano. At an early age, she would come home and teach her mother what she had learned that day. As she grew older, she played for several churches in the Purcell and Lexington area for many years. Shirley loved people and especially her family and friends. She was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by: Her Husband, Eddie Kyser in 2012; Her son, Edward Kyser in 2013 and Her parents, Bill and Rosa Howell.
Shirley leaves behind: Her Grandsons, Johnny Shawn of Purcell and Kris Shawn of Purcell; Sister-in-law, Arlene Robbins and husband Dennis of Leander, TX; Great grandsons, Noah Shawn and Johnny Keith Shawn Jr. and A host of other family and friends.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
