ENID, Okla. - A memorial service for Shirley Rae Kugel, age 62, will be 1 p.m. Saturday June 15, 2013, at American Legion. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent to the home at 1117 E. Randolph.
Shirley was born July, 5, 1950, in Waterloo, Iowa, and passed away June, 9, 2013, in Enid, Oklahoma.
Shirley was born and raised and graduated from high school in Iowa. She worked at Elks Lodge, Salvation Army and N.E. Iowa Food Bank.
She married Ronald F. Kugel June 30, 1990, at Trinity American Lutheran Church, in Waterloo, Iowa. They moved to Enid in January 2007.
Shirley enjoyed fishing and spending time outside gardening, and loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her. She loved holidays and especially Christmas.
She is survived by her husband, Ron of the home; children, Brian Tomkins, Tammy Carossco, Shawn Eastman Adams, Clifford Tomkins, Stacy Brandt, Al Kugel, Pam Kugel, Scott Kugel, Shannon Bloom, Ron Smith; 42 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Ronnie Carpenter; and sisters Donna Sabin, Madelyn, Marlene, Connie and Margaret.
Shirley is preceded in death by two grandchildren and one sister.
