Jerry Norman Kromanaker went home to be with Jesus on July 3, 2008.
Known throughout the neighborhood as 'Uncle Jerry', he never met a stranger but carried the light of his Risen Savior around the world.
He was born on May 14, 1941 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Norman and Thelma (Teska) Kromanaker.
He joined the US Air Force in 1960 and spent nine of his 20 years of active duty overseas. When he retired, he made Oklahoma his home.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Helen; his precious daughters Danette (Keith) Plummer and Kim (Barry) Brubaker, the light of his life, grandchildren Summer Brubaker, Allan Plummer, and Anneliese Plummer. Brothers Ronald (Jan) Kromanaker and Dale (Jan) Kromanaker. Sisters Diane (R.J.) Curtin, Vickie (Guy) Plountz, and Pam Kromanaker. Sister-in-law Ruth (Richard) Haumschild and brother-in-law Les (Jan) Revling.
He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 N. Air Depot, Midwest City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Integris Foundation at Baptist Hospital.
