Ernestine was born on Thursday, February 25, 1937 in Cloudy, Oklahoma to Parker Rosenthal and Eva Mae (Boyett) Rosenthal. She passed from this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 86.
Ernestine was raised in Rattan, Oklahoma where she graduated high school. Ernestine worked as a director and owner of day care centers for 25 years. Her hobbies include cleaning house and running the vacuum from AM to PM. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers, sisters, and grandkids. Ernestine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hugo, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Krohn on February 1, 1996; her parents; sisters, Mary Durham, Jonnie Pilgram, Verina Cost, Tommie Scott, Katie Bonsell, and Opal Rosenthal; brothers, Son Rosenthal, Jimmy Rosenthal, TJ Rosenthal, George Rosenthal, and Frank Rosenthal.
Ernestine is survived by her son, Pete Krohn; sister, Isabell Murray; grandkids, Cash Krohn, Koger Hardin, Taylor Krohn, and Savannah Thatcher; and great-grandkids, Salem Hardin, Brooklynn Taylor, and Emarie Taylor.
A visitation will be Friday evening, Sept. 22, from 6-8 PM at Brown’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Steve Beebe officiating and Shawn Scott assisting. Graveside services will follow in the afternoon at 2:00 PM at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. Pallbearers will be Travis Hardin, Cash Krohn, Taylor Krohn, Pete Krohn, and Rocky Rosenthal.
