Charles John "Chip" Krohn
November 12, 1952 ~ January 1, 2013

Charles John "Chip" Krohn, 60, of Alex, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home. Chip was born November 12, 1952 in Shorewood, Wisconsin to Charles Richard and Marjorie Grace [Melander] Krohn.

Chip married Sherry Lynn [Montgomery] McIntire on June 6, 1986 in Oklahoma City.

Chip worked as a hydro geologist for the Department of Natural Resources in Wisconsin for many years.

After returning to Oklahoma in 2005, he began working as a geologist in the petroleum industry in Oklahoma City.

Chip was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. When he was younger, he worked as a canoe guide in the boundary waters of Canada. He was a beekeeper and had his own bee business in Wisconsin at one time.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Chip is survived by his wife, Sherry Krohn of Alex; one son, Jason McIntire of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; one sister, Chris Tracy and her husband, Rick of Parachute, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma City Geological Foundation, PO Box 7565, Edmond, Oklahoma 73080-7565.
