Stillwater - Michael William Kress went to be with the Lord on October 20th, 2024, at 75 years of age. Michael Kress was born to Paul and Helen Kress on January 4th, 1949, in Oakland, CA. Michael graduated from Utah State University with a master’s degree in Hydrology and was a dedicated employee at Oklahoma State University, an avid cyclist, lover of God and people. Michael married Maria Porter in December of 1992, and they resided in Stillwater, OK.
Michael is survived by his wife Maria Kress of Stillwater, OK, his brother Charles Kress and wife Arissa, of Oakland, CA, John Kress of Oakland, CA and Frank Kress of Badger, CA, His stepsons Jeffrey Porter of Stillwater, OK and Clif Porter of Stillwater, OK, grandchildren Ivan Porter of Stillwater, OK, Hagen Kachner of Oklahoma City, OK, Keelie Porter of Stillwater, OK, Oakleigh Porter of Stillwater, OK.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Helen Kress of Oakland, CA, his sister Mary Jo Kress of Oakland, CA, stepson Jon Porter of Oklahoma City, OK. Brothers-in-law Jim Dickey of Stillwater, OK, Jon Dickey of Stillwater, OK and Dan Dickey of Stillwater, OK daughter-in-law Jesse Porter of Stillwater, OK and niece Brianna Yost of Edmond, OK.
