Nancy G. Kowalczyk, 90, passed away from this life on January 15, 2023. Nancy was born on October 20, 1932, in New Britain, Connecticut, the daughter of Helen and John Gleba. She received her early education in New Britain and graduated from New Britain Senior High School with honors.
In 1954 she married Henry Kowalczyk and build a home in Southington, Connecticut in anticipation of having a family. This wish was fulfilled by Richard coming to them in 1963. Three years later, they welcomed Suzanne.
Nancy enjoyed making quilts and won many awards when she entered them in competitions. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts. She loved to cook Polish dishes from old family recipes. She had a quick wit and liked to work with her hands, play games and listen to recorded books. Nancy retired from the Mid Conn Bank as a senior mortgage processor.
She was a resident at Brookdale South in Bartlesville. She was a faithful member of Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church and enjoyed attending her small group Bible study and church on Sundays.
Nancy is survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan Kowalczyk and his wife Amara and their son Lucas and daughter Luna; Jewel-Ann Kowalczyk and Jonah Kowalczyk; and her daughter Suzanne and Suzanne’s son Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry Kowalczyk in 1991; and son Richard Kowalczyk on September 3, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at
Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5111 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, with
Pastor Dany Daniel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of
Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and
