Katherine Dawn Romo Kost of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at the age of 39. She was born on November 10th, 1983 in Perryton, Texas to Deborah Shrader and Raymundo Romo.
She dedicated her life caring for others as a Certified Nurse’s Aid. She was an amazing mother to two bright daughters Katie Pearl Ellis and Leigha Miley Kost these girls were her whole world. Kathy spent her days fishing, hunting, camping, arts and crafts with her girls. She loved watching her crime shows and making beautiful memories with the people around her. She loved both of her families from Oklahoma and Texas.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers Charles Gean Shrader, Gary Lee Krantz, Larry Van Bibber, Aunt Vonny De Bruin. Fathers Gary Joe Krantz and Raymundo Romo.
She is survived by many loving family members including daughters Katie Ellis and Leigha Kost, grandmother Florence Shrader and Jean Van Bibber, mother Deborah Krantz, aunt and uncle Judy and Gary Holland, uncles Bobby Shrader and Dave Lebsack, sisters Veronica Romo, Anna Sow, and Charity Clark, brothers Michael Krantz and Eric Davis. There are many other siblings loved by her as well, along with her nieces and nephews. Most importantly her pets Titus and Figaro.
She will be loved and missed dearly by her family, friends, and pets. She was a beautiful person with a big heart and a bright soul that made the world a better place. A special thanks to Jerry Acuna and Veronica Romo for the tougher times with Katherine.
