Dorothy Marie (Kongs) Korell, 83, daughter of the late John Albert and Mary Louise (Gamet) Scripsick, was born Oct. 6, 1920, at Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away Jan. 13, 2004, at Beadles Nursing Home in Alva.
Besides her parents and her husband, Bob, she was preceded in death by one step-son, Steve Korell.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Loren, of Alva; two sons, Joe Kongs of Prairie Village, Kan., and Jim Kongs of Lincoln, Neb.; one daughter, Connie Cox and her husband, Rex, of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Pat Cox and his wife, Dianne, of McCloud, Nick Cox of Lawton, and Kate Kongs of Lincoln, Neb.; one step son, Loren Gene Korell, and his wife, Linda of Denver, Colorado; four step grandchildren, Matt Korell and his wife, Sarah, Kristy Washam and her husband, Cris, of Denver, Colo.; Steven Korell and his wife, Alanna, of Oklahoma City, and Anita Korell of Oklahoma City; four step-great grandchildren, Avery, Patience, and Lora Korell, and Trinity Korell; one brother John Scripsick and his wife, Lottie, of Capron, and Mildred d 'Avignon and her husband, Marcel, of Paso Robles, Calif.; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2004, at Sacred Heart Church with Father Shane Tharp officiating. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2004, at the Belleville Cemetery in Belleville, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Share Medical Center Hospice Program.
