Gary Kohler, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, died on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 at 68 years old. He was born on January 26th, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa.
He graduated Leeds High School in Iowa and later married Deborah Freeman in 1981. Together they had 1 son, Sam, and celebrated 37 years of marriage. Gary worked as a welder traveling around the world for over 35 years. He dedicated himself to working on motorcycles and spending time with his son working on numerous projects together in his shop. He served as a member of the US Army from 1969-1972 and was a Vietnam veteran.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Willard Kohler.
Gary is survived by his wife Debbie, son Sam, daughter-in-law Nicole, three sisters, Lynn Sanger, Debbie Heck, Rosie Heck, as well as numerous other family and friends.
A memorial Service for Gary will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., at the Smith Memorial Chapel, 220 N 1st St., Guthrie, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made in Gary’s name to the Patriot Guard Riders at 6641 E. 85th St. North Owasso, OK 74055.
