Jerry Lynn Kitchin, of Prague, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the age of 69. Jerry was born in Texas on May 2, 1953. She was the daughter of Archie Guy Kitchin and Virginia (Johnson) Kitchin. Jerry grew up in the Del City area and was a 1971 graduate of Southeast High School. After high school, Jerry attended Central State (now the University of Central Oklahoma), where she received her bachelors' and Masters’ degrees.
Jerry had a long career with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. She worked as a graphic designer, where she designed forms for department use. In her free time, you would often find Jerry deep in a book. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed the fantasy genre. She loved dragons, unicorns and she loved to share her enjoyment of reading with others.
Jerry was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church for many years. She loved to sing and served faithfully in the Children’s Ministry.
Jerry had a big heart, was known for her sweet demeanor and personality. She enjoyed studying her family history and spending time and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She was a loving daughter, sister, friend and aunt and will be missed by many.
Jerry was preceded in death by her father, Archie Guy Kitchin; her brother-in-law, Tom Patten and her nephew, Shane Patten.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia Kitchin; one brother, Doyle Kitchin and his wife, Susan; two sisters, Kathy Ring and Karen Patten and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
