A Celebration of Life for Larry "Shorty" Kinnamon will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 at Open Door Church, 1200 N Tucker, Shawnee.
Shorty was a lifelong resident of Shawnee. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1960.
He was a member of the Cherokee Nation who served his country in the National Guard.
He retired from Thomas Concrete in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spoiling his dogs.
His loved ones will get together and celebrate what would have been his 83rd birthday. As one of his granddaughters recently reminded us, "Papa sure did love his birthday cakes!" Bring your favorite story, memory or song to share as we remember a good man, gone too soon.
