Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Ann's Catholic Church of Canyon with Pat Carathers celebrating mass. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Holley Funeral Home of Canyon.
Mr. King was born on April 18, 1927, in Cushing, Okla., to Price King and Nell Bellis. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and was the director of fishery for the State of Oklahoma.
He moved to Amarillo in 1958 and worked as a Schering Pharmaceuticals representative. He became owner of Tascosa Office Machines in 1977, building a great family business.
He married Evelyn Killham on Jan. 17, 1948,in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a member of Canyon Country Club.
He was active on the board of Kids Inc., Amarillo Photographic Society, Southwest Basketball Association as a referee and ARMA.
He was also a veteran of World War II. He would want you to remember his passion for family, friends, life and nature.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, J.P. King and Kelly King, both of Amarillo, and Richard King of Abernathy; a daughter, Lynn Pipkin of Amarillo; two sisters, Mary Nell Winham of Macon, Ga., and Kay Butler of Ponchatoula, La.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Kids Inc. of Amarillo.
