Billy Rex "BK" King

Billy Rex "BK" King
March 1, 1949 ~ February 3, 2025

Billy "BK" Rex King, of Kingston, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born in Deport, Texas, on March 1, 1949, to George Dennis and Evia (Bartlett) King.

BK honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. His service developed a strong love of country and family that remained with him during his life. A man known for his skilled craftsmanship, he made a lifetime career in construction where his hands shaped not just wood, but the lives of those around him. His love for life did not end at his job. BK was a man of many interests and simple pleasures. He would often be found on an area lake with a fishing rod in hand, or enjoying the thrill of the casino, where he enjoyed testing his luck and sharing laughs with friends. Dancing was another of BK's treasured pastimes. He was always ready to dance with life's rhythm.

BK’s heart swelled with love for his family, who he greatly enjoyed spending time with. Those left to cherish his memory are his stepdaughters Lynda Johnson and her husband Tony, Tracey Robinson and her husband Clint, and Donna Singleton. His legacy lives on with his cherished grandchildren Whitney and her husband Benton, Cory and his wife Bre, Nick and his wife Jaylenn, Donald and Nicole, Randell, Ashley, Robert and his wife Raquell, and Kaydee and her husband Tyler, as well as his great-grandchildren, Trip, Drakelyn, Andi, Rainleigh, Tyler, Aubrey, Renlee, Sabrina, Danny, Leah, Cheyenne, Kailey and her husband Nate, Caroline, Aiden, and Ezra. BK is also survived by his sister Barbara, who will always remember him fondly.

Preceding him in death were his parents George and Evia King, his devoted wife Doris King, his grandson Andy Hines, and his sister Alice.

Cremation has been selected, and no memorial service is planned at this time.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 North 5th Street, Durant, Oklahoma 74701. www.holmescoffeymurray.com
