Wanda Kay Schroeder Kiner was the youngest of six children born to Pete and Mary Helen Schroeder of Cleo Springs Oklahoma. Wanda was born in Fairview, Oklahoma on September 2 1951 and was welcomed into heaven on Monday March 25, 2019.
She tirelessly cared for her father and mother in their twilight years and frequently reflected on the blessings of the relationship that grew out of the experience.
Wanda was valedictorian of her class and attended Bethany Nazarene College. Wanda worked at variety of jobs before and after becoming a fulltime mom. Her favorites were office manager at University Placement at Oklahoma State University and accounting for Charles Wise Buick in Perry, but mostly Wanda enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and providing an unwavering true north compass to guide her two boys.
Wanda was married on August 12, 1970 to Mark Kiner. To this union were born two sons, Nathan and Eric.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; their sons, Nathan and spouse, Lisa of Milford New Hampshire and Eric of Santa Cruz California; two grandchildren, Saffron and Jonathan and sister, Phyllis Hood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Mary Helen Schroeder; sister Peggy Ann; brothers, Ronald, Keith and Paul.
Memorial service for Wanda will be Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Aline First Christian Church. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
