Velma Catherine (Billy) Kindig, a Tupelo resident, was born on April 27, 1938, to Solomon and Mary Jane (Lewis) Billy, at Lane, OK. She passed away on June 9, 2022 at Atoka, OK at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 13 days.
Velma was a certified nurse's aide. She married Richard Earl Kindig on June 18, 1977 at Red Oak, Iowa. They were 9 days short of spending 45 wonderful years together. Velma was a member of the Tupelo Baptist Church and loved attending church. She was a member of the Choctaw Senior Center and enjoyed going on the Choctaw Senior trips. She loved gardening, watching flowers grow, cooking, and taking pictures. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends.
