Margaret Lou Kimmell

February 23, 1930 ~ February 20, 2016

Margaret Lou Kimmell, born February 23, 1930, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, died peacefully on February 20, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas.

Margaret was the sixth child of Etta and Robert Kimmell. She attended schools in Cherokee and graduated from Kiowa High School in 1948. She enrolled in Northwestern College and graduated from Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1953. Following college, she had a 30-year career with Eastern Airlines. She retired in 1983 and moved to San Antonio to be near family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Vivian Barr, Robert G. Kimmell, Charles E. Kimmell, Jeane Weidman and A.T. Kimmell. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A burial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 1:15 p.m. in Riverview Cemetery, Kiowa, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Hardtner, which will celebrate the lives of Margaret and her sister-in-law Doris May Kimmell, who predeceased Margaret by one week.
