Rodney Francis Kimball, 85, of Cabot, died Friday, June 17, 2016. He was born February 22, 1931 to the late Francis Kimball and Margaret Farr Kimball.
He was a graduate of Menominee High School in Michigan and attended Bakersfield College in California.
He was a founding member of C.A.L.M. (California Living Museum), and he was a serving elder at Disciples Christian Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and First Christian Church in Sherwood, Arkansas. He also served as a deacon at Park Hill Christian Church in North Little Rock.
Mr. Kimball served in the United States Army during the Korean War and he was a 25 year member with the Kiwanis club, where he served as Lt. Governor of Kiwanis Club of Golden Empire. He enjoyed baseball, softball, golf, bowling, cross country running, cross stitching, singing in choir, and being a Boy Scout leader.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadine Kimball (May 1998); siblings, Joan Nesbitt, Rita Plude, and Robert Kimball; and his beloved German short hair pointer, Sandy.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Kimball; children, Robert Kimball, Mary, Tony, and Cathy Castro, Beth Shaver, and Greg Billings; grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacob, Jessica, Cassandra, Christina and Charity Castro, Renee Woods, Jared and Carson Shaver, William, Lucy, Matthew, Natalie and Benjamin Billings; great grandchildren, Xsymphoni Miramontes, Karissa, Keira, Lilian, Asher and Drake Castro, Olivia Phillips, Nathaniel and Natalie Ramos, Dacia Panther, Natahlia Woods, and Chanel Powell.
