Donald Ray Killingsworth

Donald Ray Killingsworth
July 21, 1941 ~ February 17, 2023

Donald Ray Killingsworth from Hominy, OK, 81, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at St John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK

Donald Killingsworth was born July 21, 1941 in Cleveland, Oklahoma to B. C. and Eva Killingsworth. Donald grew up in a sibling group of eight; four boys and four girls. Once Donald got out of school he went to work in the oil fields and pipelined. He was employed with White Star Machinery in Wichita and Oklahoma City. He finally went into business for himself doing heat and air. Donald became disabled in 1995 due to Arthritis.

Donald was married to JoAnn Hand, whom he met at church. He loved her and they did everything together. They would go to different concerts because JoAnn would drag him along. They loved going to Branson and seeing shows. Donald loved his two boys: Cody (Barbara) and William (Olga). His grandkids were great delights in his life.

Donald loved the water and fishing. He also enjoyed horses. Donald and Cody loved going to visit the old west towns that were made for movies. Playing cards and dominoes were more of his favorite past times, Rummy being one he really enjoyed. He traveled with his son, Cody to the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, and Superstition Mountain. We can’t forget that little rat terrier, “Rascal.” What joy he brought to Donald’s life. He was an active member in the Church of the Nazarene.

Donald is survived by two sons; Cody (Barbara) Killingsworth and William (Olga) Killingsworth; two sisters; Eva Bonham and Janet Sisco; grandchildren Ashley Faith, Meredith Leigh, Hunter Meza; great grandchildren; Matthew, Colin, Sophia; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Killingsworth; Father and mother; B. C. and Eva Killingsworth; five siblings; Louise Owens, Louella Lyman, Roy Killingsworth, Richard Killingsworth and Benton Carl Killingsworth, II.

Donald’s memorial service will be Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the First Church of the Nazarene, Hominy, Oklahoma at 1:00pm. Powell Funeral Service is making all the arrangements.
