Karen Michelle (Hight) Keresztes
February 6, 1962 ~ July 16, 2019 (age 57)

Karen Michelle Hight Keresztes, 57, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on July 16, 2019. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Karen was born on February 6, 1962, in Oklahoma City, OK, where she graduated from Southeast High School in 1980. On May 13, 1995, Karen joined William Andrew Keresztes in marriage in St. Louis, MO. Karen and Bill spent the subsequent years working for American Fidelity Assurance Company. They raised their family in St. Louis, MO and Springfield, IL before returning to Oklahoma City in 2005.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ethel and Robert Edward Hight Sr., who passed away in 2018 and 2011, respectively, and her sister, Debra Kay, who passed in 1963. Additionally, she had a close relationship with her dog, Angel, who passed away in 2013.

Karen is survived by the love of her life—husband William Andrew Keresztes—with whom she renewed her wedding vows on February 16th, 2019 at Milam Castle. Karen and Bill were joined by their closest friends and family for the event of a lifetime. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Edward Hight Jr. and wife Natalie, daughter Amanda Ward and fiancé Zeke, and her stepdaughters—Lisa Quinn, husband Chris, Angie Leary and husband Kevin.

Her extended legacy includes her niece, Krissy (5), nephews Ben and Robby Hight, along with his wife Courtney and her grandnephew Levi (4). She will be missed by her numerous grandchildren: Kenna (12), Ainslee (6), Cambrin (3), and Annalyn Quinn, Michael Allwood (8), and Brooke Leary (2). She also leaves behind her two yorkies, Bella and Luke..

Karen enjoyed reading a wide variety of books, hosting family event for the holidays, playing with her dogs, joking and laughing with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

Reverend Jon Gagnon will officiate the service with the burial immediately following. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 20th at Resthaven Funeral Home.
