The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Alan Kennedy, 70, of Enid will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Alan was born December 13, 1951, to Gilbert Lawrence Jr. and Dorothy Kennedy in Anaheim, California, and passed from this life February 6, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was raised and educated in Anaheim, CA, where he graduated high school in 1970. Upon graduation, Alan joined the United States Air Force, for which he served as a medic for 4 years until his honorable discharge. He later moved to Enid where he married Sonya Hudson in 1990, and to this union they had one daughter, Myriah.
Alan spent his life helping and serving others in the medical field. He worked as the night charge nurse at the Billings Fairchild Center as well as an LPN for 20 years until his health prevented him from working. Alan enjoyed fishing and watching his shows on TV.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Myriah Uselton of Enid; brother, Bruce Kennedy and wife Tess of Burkburnett, Texas; and a half-sister, Betty Crosswhite of Meno, OK.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents.
