Maggie Maybell (DeShazer) Keith
October 25, 1952 ~ March 21, 2020

Maggie Keith, age 67, passed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at her home in Muskogee, OK while surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was born on October, 25 1952 to Ray DeShazer and Ester Lanora (Smith) DeShazer in Olive, OK.

Maggie attended Muskogee High School and lived in the Muskogee community for most of her life. She married the love of her life, Derrick Keith, on March 26, 1971 and celebrated nearly 49 wonderful years of marriage.

Maggie was a Department Manager at Wal-Mart for a number of years and has always enjoyed helping people. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, she also passed her time reading, gardening and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Jannetta Butts, four brothers, Jess, Charles, Tommie and David DeShazer.

Maggie is survived by one son, Robert "RL" Keith and wife Elizabeth, one daughter, Lanora Byrd and husband Jimmy, two brothers, Kenneth DeShazer, John Harries and Wife Sandra, one sister Rhoda Kelton and husband James all of Muskogee, OK along with five grandchildren, Kerstin Poole and husband Conner, Samantha Fisher and husband Tony, Tyler Boots, Ashley Boots and Eli Keith along with four great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service held by the family in Maggie's honor will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 23th 2020 at Mt. View Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St. Jude by phone at 1-(800) 478-5833 or online at stjude.org/donate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Muskogee Shipman Cremation & Funeral Service.
