We are grieved to chronicle the death of Grandma Keen, the mother of our former townsman, J.E. Keen, and also the mother of Mrs. J.E.L. Douglas, who resides about two miles northeast of town and at whose home she spent her last days.
Grandma Keen was spending a visit with her daughter when she took sick. Old age is probably the sole cause of her death. She has spent a life of usefulness and has now gone to hear the welcome plaudit, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lords."
Grandma Keen's home was at Weatherford, Oklahoma where the remains were shipped for interment.
The Star extends sympathy and condolence to the bereaved in this sad hour.
