ELKHART, Kan. - Sammie Gene Keeling, 66, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrell Giddins officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery by Harrell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Keeling was born in Canadian, Texas. She moved to Elkhart in 1995 from Keyes, Okla., where she had lived for 30 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She married Monroe "Jim" Keeling in 1954 at Sunray, Texas.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark Keeling of Elkhart; a daughter, Sabra Guymon of Keyes; three brothers, Allen Moore of Enid, Okla., Thomas Moore of Dumas, Texas, and Hershell Moore of Houston; a sister, Gayle Parkey of Hobbs, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Hillcrest Baptist Church. The family will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday.
