Janie (Janice) Ruth Karr, 70, of Bartlesville passed away Sunday, September 27th, 2020 in Bartlesville, OK. Janice was born July 14, 1950 to parents, Ruth and Fred Lentz in Columbia, Tennessee.
Janice was a project manager for Flintco Construction. She loved cooking and won many chili cook-offs and costume contests during her time at Flincto. She is the self-proclaimed Christmas light decorating champion of the world. In truth, she did have her picture in the Bartlesville Examiner showing off her Christmas light décor. Janice always had a lot of positive and upbeat energy; she could light up a room with her singing and dancing. She enjoyed anything athletic, swimming, water skiing, and walking her dog but most of all she enjoyed cheering on her grandkids during their “events”. She was a talented cake decorator and baker. However, the most important thing to Janice was her family. Not just her immediate family but everyone. She looked forward to the Cousins reunion every year so she could catch up with her extended family living all over the country.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents Fred Lentz and Ruth and John Kurowski. Also by her sister, Shirley Tayrien.
She is survived by her daughter Darcey Sutterfield and her husband Mike Sutterfield and son, Jeremiah Karr and his wife Heather Karr, grandchildren, Josh Sitterly, Kaleb Sutterfield, Christian Karr and Chloe Karr. Great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Carter Sitterly, Juniper Sutterfield and bonus grandchildren, Nikki LeGrand, Michael Sutterfield, Summer Sutterfield and bonus great-grand children Beckham LeGrand, Macon LeGrand, Baylor LeGrand and Kainon Johnson. Two brothers, Johnny Kurowski and Fred Lentz and one sister, Connie Bottenfield and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 1st at Stumpff
Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
