Diana Lynn Karcher passed away at her home in Perry, OK, on Saturday, March 11, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 54. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perry. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date.*
Diana was born February 27, 1963 in Pawnee, OK, to Walter, Jr. and Gladys May (Porter) Avants.
She grew up in the Pawnee area where she attended Pawnee Public Schools and graduated in 1981. Shortly after graduation she and Keith Karl Karcher were married on July 7, 1983 in Perry, OK. Together they made their home in Perry where she remained until her passing.
Some of Diana’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, and raising honeybees.
Her grandson Mason was the light of her life. She loved teaching him how to bake. Together they made several tasty treats. Diana was a member of Christ Lutheran Church here in Perry. She worked as a 798 welders helper with her husband in the Pipeline industry.
Diana is survived by her husband Keith of the home. Daughter, Whitney Rayan DeHaas and husband Brian of Perry, OK; Grandson, Mason Karl DeHaas of Perry, OK; Father, Walter Avants, Jr. and wife Donie of Crescent, OK; mother, Gladys Mae Kitchen of Pawnee, OK; two sisters, Susan Lady o Ralston, OK, and Quilla Dian Cameron of Idaho.
