The services celebrating and honoring the life of Donald Ray Jump, 59, will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in the Church of Latter Days Saints of Ponca City with Bishop Brian Critchfield officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born July 27, 1958 in Lexington, Kentucky to Donald and Gladys (Bryant) Jump.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ponca City, Ponca City Police Department retiring in 2010, member of Fraternal Order of Police, Past President of the Oklahoma Sherriff and Peace Officers Association, gun and coin collector, loved hunting, shooting guns, OU football, very proud of his missionary work with the LDS Church, very proud of his community service as a veteran law enforcement officer for the Ponca City Police Department, and Osage County Sherriff Department, mostly he loved being a father & grandfather.
He is survived by son Derek and wife Calyn Jump of Oklahoma City, daughters Cortney and husband Travis Price of Ponca City, Chelsea and husband Jimmy Cleveland of Owasso, brother Joseph "Skip" Jump of Ponca City, sisters Dell Taylor of Apache Junction, AZ., and Carol Holden of Ashford, AZ. and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents and a sister Debbie Deetz, in 1985.
