Mary Linn (Tubbs) Joyce passed from this life on July 20, 2025, in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 77. She was born in Los Angeles, California on April 20, 1948, to Juanita (Cunningham) Matthews and Orville Tubbs. She graduated from Artesia High School in 1965 and married Ronald Merchberger. They had two sons, Ronald David Merchberger Jr. and James Kirk Merchberger. She moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma in 1978 and later married Gerald Joyce. They had one daughter, Crystal Joyce. Mary was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father Orville Tubbs, mother Juanita Matthews, husbands Ronald Merchberger and Gerald Joyce, sister Carol Roseboom, and sons Ronald Merchberger Jr. and James Merchberger. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Joyce, brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Juana Tubbs and their family, grandchildren Bryan, Cole, Gary, and Allie along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held.
Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in
Durant, Oklahoma.
